About Me
I'm Jamal Wilburg, a sports writer, people watcher, philosopher, and Operation Enduring Freedom Veteran.
I started writing about sports online in 2008. In July 2010, I started to write for Bleacher Report and became the Tampa Bay Rays Featured Columnist for the site in September 2010. I have also been a writer for Rays Digest (Part of the Scout.com network) and Progressive Greek Magazine. My articles have covered a wide range of sports including baseball, football, NASCAR, and the 2012 Olympic Games. My work has been featured on the websites of Forbes, USA Today, CBS Sports, the Houston Chronicle and the Los Angeles Times. I am a former co-host of the Sports Mob Radio show on 1010-WQYK CBS Radio in Tampa, FL. I made my introduction to this world in Queens, NY and grew up in Tampa, FL. I graduated from The University of Tampa with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Sports Management. I hope you find my writing to be informative, thought provoking, and occasionally witty. I try to infuse as much of my personality into my work as possible. Please click the tabs above to find my work and feel free to come back often.
